The Hotel Doesn't Live Up to 5 Stars - Solid 4 Stars

Translate

We stayed as a family for 9 nights in a villa.

Upon arrival, we were given a room located three levels down — essentially on the basement floor (even though I had requested in advance not to be placed in a basement-level room). The balcony was at ground level, so there was no view to enjoy. As it turned out, these rooms are assigned to everyone by default, and if you want a room on a higher floor, you have to pay extra. If you happen to be given one right away — you’re just lucky.

Room:

I stayed with my two children, aged 15 and 11. There was clearly not enough storage space (wardrobes, shelves).

The minibar included beer, juices, soda, and water. We didn’t drink beer and tried to limit soda, so we only drank the juices. However, they provided only two juices per day for the three of us, so we had to share.

Cleaning was generally fine, although the chairs on the balcony were dirty when we arrived.

Food:

We expected more. Breakfasts and lunches were repetitive; dinners were a bit better. Fish was served daily, but seafood was only available once a week (on Fridays).

It’s best to go to dinner either right at the beginning or after 8:00 PM, because between 7:00 and 7:30 PM we had to wait and search for a free table.

There are à la carte restaurants, but they cost €20 per person.

Waterpark:

The kids loved it — especially because of the ice cream :)

One day, there was a long queue for the lazy river, and we had to wait quite a while for tubes.

There were also fast-food snacks available.

Sports & Activities:

Next to the waterpark, there’s a tennis court and a volleyball court. The tennis court could use some renovation, but overall it was fun to play. Reservation and equipment were free.

Other activities included darts, yoga, water polo, and aqua aerobics. Yoga and aqua aerobics were light and suitable even for people who don't regularly exercise.

Pool Bars:

There was a good selection of cocktails. Snacks like nuts were available throughout the day, and the kids really enjoyed them.

Sea:

The bridge to the beach (a signature feature of the hotel) had apparently burned down, and a new one was still under construction — basically from scratch. So we had to take a shuttle bus to the beach.

There was no proper boarding process — people literally ran to grab seats, and I was worried someone might knock my child over.

The beach has fine pebbles and a lifeguard. The entrance to the sea is uncomfortable — after a few steps, there are sudden dips in the ground caused by the waves.

Pools:

All pools are 1.52 m deep. There’s a small kids’ pool, 38 cm deep. If your child can't swim, be sure to bring a float or armbands. Lifeguards were present at every pool.

There was an unpleasant incident — someone DEFECATED in the infinity (crescent-shaped) pool. People gathered around to watch, as if it were an attraction. The area was cordoned off, the mess was cleaned, chemicals were added, but the water was not drained. The pool was reopened the very next day.

Territory:

Very large and green — pleasant for walks, with lots of beautiful spots for photos.
