We were made fools of and ripped off
On the day of departure, as expected, we were checked out at 12, after which I personally left the room keys at the reception, receiving an approving nod in return. Everything would have been fine, but at the moment of leaving for the airport (when the bus had already arrived and most of the passengers were inside), we were stopped with the words, "You didn't return the room keys." The arguing began. The same guy to whom I had personally handed the keys was standing at the reception, but he just shrugged. When we asked to check the cameras, we were told, "They don't work here," even though, come on, why would the cameras at the reception not be working? We called our guide, who was supposed to accompany us to the airport. He came over, started talking to them about something, but in the end, he didn't help at all. "Either you pay, or you won't be let go." And that's exactly what happened. No one was going to let us leave the hotel. The situation was escalating, and at that very moment, the reception staff were standing there and LAUGHING at us without a shred of conscience. They just stood there and laughed at us. In the end, of course, we had to pay these people our own money, specifically, they presented us with a bill for $45. The entire impression of the vacation was completely ruined. I can only conclude that this is a well-orchestrated scheme by the entire staff, and no one will achieve justice. We were made fools of and ripped off.
