What is the "I'm planning to visit this hotel" mark and why it's useful

Any tourist can upload their travel history into their account by marking their hotel stays - both from the past and those that are plammed in the future. This can become an important tool for vacation planning.

Marking your upcoming hotel stay on Tophotels allows you to:

• Complete your personal travel history
• Share your traveling plans with your followers
• Notify the hotel representative about your upcoming visit
• Receive a Tophotels cover letter
• Receive updates about the hotel & discuss the hotel with guests who are already at the hotel or have visited it previously

CHECKING THE HOTEL'S GUEST LIST

In addition to information about the hotel, every hotel profile has a section where you can view the hotel's guest list that consists of people who visited the hotel before or are planning to visit it.

This section allows you to analyze the hotel's popularity and communicate with other guests - for example, to request information you couldn't find in the hotel's reviews and questions.

The list of users who are planning to visit the hotel can be found in the Hotel group section.

ADDING THE "I'M PLANNING TO VISIT THIS HOTEL" MARK

The “I’m planning to visit the hotel” mark can be added via hotel’s card or Hotel’s subscribers section.

You can find instructions for both of these ways below.

• The top part of each hotels’ cards has a Plus icon (1) and choose the Add a trip to the hotel (2) option. Add information about your upcoming hotel stay into the form (3) - as you fill it, you will also be able to subscribe to hotel’s news and start receiving updates about latest special offers.
  
  
  
• In the menu on the right, the Subscribers and guests section contains the list of hotel guests who added information about their hotel visit. The Add your visit to the hotel button allows you to add information about your own hotel stay.
  
  

TOPHOTELS COVER LETTER

We recommend you to have a Tophotels cover letter addressed to the hotel management before you check into the hotel. The cover letter is a proof of you belonging to the hotel’s group on Tophotels - a large hotel information website where user reviews directly affect the hotel’s rating and sales in the Russian market.

A cover letter informs the hotel management about the number of guests coming from Tophotels. However, it doesn’t necessarily guarantee any privileges - the subject of privileges for Tophotels users is decided by the hotel representatives.

The Tophotels cover letter is formed automatically as soon as you add an “I’m going to this hotel” mark for a 4* or 5* hotel. For hotels of other categories, please send us a cover letter request via the Feedback form

After adding the “I’m going to the hotel” mark you will automatically be transferred to the My travel history section and receive a notification about a cover letter being formed.

To view and download the cover letter, click on the Incoming notification button (1) and open the notification you received (2)
