50/50% satisfaction

As soon as I got back home from the hotel, I wanted to write my review. The review is as honest as possible, since there were both positive and negative aspects. Let's start with the negatives. There's a belief that for good service, it's appropriate to tip. In this hotel, it's the exact opposite. To get good service, you need to pay tips. The most common question they ask is where you're from. Upon hearing that you're from, the attitude changes completely, unlike if you were European, Egyptian, or Arab. For instance, after standing in a long line at the bar or snack bar, you might get only one portion instead of three, even if you came with two children. The second huge downside is the lack of sanitation. The first room I was placed in was simply awful. Dirt, scattered papers left by previous guests, torn curtains, a leaking fridge with an unknown substance, and a strange smell. At first, I couldn't figure out where the smell was coming from. Then it became clear. The smell was from the disinfectant used to kill cockroaches. After my hysterics about what I saw, they moved me to another, much better room.

Let me preempt those who would say I should have tipped at the beginning or brought chocolate or something else. I did all of that. The upgraded room, by the way, was in a building where Europeans, mainly Brits and Germans, stayed. But even in this room, I met new residents—cockroaches. When I informed the reception about their presence, they immediately came with the same disinfectant used in the previous room. But instead of relocating me, even though I had reported an allergy to such chemicals and dust, they left me in the disinfected room. The result was a severe allergy, shortness of breath, cough, and I went home in this condition.

On the positive side, the territory is beautiful. The pools are large and clean, and there is a water park. I really liked the lifeguard at the water park. He watched to ensure people stayed safe in the water. Similarly, each pool had lifeguards and instructors, which is very important. Whenever there was any danger in the pool, they responded immediately. I also liked that some people didn't occupy the sunbeds at 4 or 5 in the morning with their towels. There’s a rule that if a towel is left unattended, hotel staff remove it. There’s a penalty for losing a hotel towel. You can tip the pool lifeguard, and he'll reserve a spot for you. The food is excellent—very tasty. Although the variety got a bit monotonous by the seventh day, the food was fresh, delicious, and homely. The sea is wonderful. Warm. There's a bar at the beach where you can not only order drinks but also have a snack. There are enough sunbeds and umbrellas for everyone. Animation. In the first days, we couldn't see any animation, but by the third day, it was there. Interesting shows in the evenings and various activities by the pool and the sea during the day. The animators themselves were very pleasant; they approached people, introduced themselves, and offered activities. Overall, if you ask me whether I want to return to this hotel again, the answer is no. Do I recommend going there for a vacation? It depends on what your priorities are. If cleanliness and sanitation are secondary concerns for you during a vacation, then I indeed recommend this hotel, as it is truly beautiful and multinational. You will definitely meet interesting people with whom you can establish connections and continue communicating in the future. There is plenty of space for everyone since the hotel is large.
