A very simple hotel
My husband and I just spent a week at Le Pacha Resort, and honestly, we need another vacation just to recover from our vacation—in the best way possible! If you are looking for a place where you will never, ever escape the thumping rhythm of Arabic pop music and where your calorie intake is aggressively monitored by your own conscience (and the dessert table), this is it. Here is the honest, slightly sunburnt truth about our stay: 🛏️ The Room & Amenities. We stayed in a standard room. Let’s just say the decor is what interior designers would call "vintage Egyptian charm," and what my husband called "stuck in 1998." The bed was surprisingly comfortable, though the mattress had a slight slope that made us roll toward each other every night—romantic, right? Our room key was a magical plastic card that worked approximately 42% of the time. On day three, it staged a full rebellion. When I went to reception to complain, the guy at the desk didn't even blink; he just handed me a new card with a knowing smile, like we were part of an exclusive club for people locked out of Room 312. 🍽️ Food & Drinks. The main restaurant, Spago, is a battlefield of hunger and ambition. Breakfast: Pretty standard. The omelet station is where friendships go to die if you cut the line, but the guy flipping the eggs is an absolute wizard under pressure. Lunch & Dinner: There is plenty of food, and it’s actually quite tasty if you steer clear of the mystery meat labeled "chef’s surprise." My husband fell deeply in love with the French fries, which somehow followed us to every single meal. The Drinks: Ah, the all-inclusive local alcohol. Let’s just say the gin and tonic tastes like optimism mixed with sadness, and the wine should probably be classified as an industrial solvent. Pro tip: buy a bottle at the duty-free shop at the airport before you arrive, or just stick to the local beer, which is surprisingly decent and cold! 🏊♂️ Pool, Beach & Location. The location is unbeatable—right in the middle of Sakkala. You step outside and you’re instantly swarmed by local shopkeepers offering you a camel, a fake Rolex, or a custom-made papyrus with your name on it. Walking down the street with my husband became a sport: Who can say "No, thank you" with the straightest face? The hotel beach is a bit cozy, and if you want a sun lounger by the pool, you basically have to wake up at 6:00 AM and do the traditional European towel-dropping ceremony. The Red Sea itself, though? Absolutely breathtaking. We went snorkeling, and the fish looked at us with the exact same tired expression we had while looking at the buffet. 🎭 Entertainment & Vibe. The animation team works harder than anyone else on Earth. They will hunt you down on the beach to make sure you do aqua-aerobics, belly dancing, or darts. My husband tried to hide behind a palm tree once, but an energetic animator named "Bob" found him instantly and dragged him into a stretching class. We didn't walk right for two days.{удалено модератором: несанкционированная реклама} Final Verdict. Would we come back? Honestly... yes! Le Pacha isn't a luxury five-star palace, but it has character, a great location, and a quirky soul. We laughed until we cried, got a fantastic tan, and survived the hotel coffee. If you keep your expectations realistic and bring a good sense of humor (and maybe a door wedge), you’ll have a blast!
