WORMS IN THE HOTEL KITCHEN! THE VACATION IS SPOILED FROM START TO END!
We vacationed with 3 families, on the advice of friends who vacationed here in April 2023.
Upon arrival, our family was given a room of a higher class. We didn't make the request. However, the receptionist named Ahmed began to continuously say that he did this specifically for us. He continued to talk about it annoyingly until I gave him $50.
At the same time, our friends, grinning among themselves (the staff), were given a room for people with disabilities. The indignation of friends was responded to by saying that this was a standard room. They hinted in every possible way that you could get a better room by paying extra. Although the standard room was paid for. Friends began to object, citing the argument that they had vacationed here in April and knew what a standard room looked like. As a result, they were given a standard room, which they had to wait until 17:00 (they arrived at 12:00).
The worst thing happened on the last day of my stay at this hotel.
We reserved an a la card dinner at an Asian restaurant for 6 people.
We ordered and tasted Thai dishes.
At the same time, the waiter poured water into everyone’s glasses.
While finishing dinner, the wife discovered a white worm, presumably a worm, floundering at the bottom of a glass.
Everyone was horrified as they finished the water in their glasses.
They took photos and videos, after which they invited the waiter and showed him a glass with a live worm.
The waiter spread her hands and invited a second waiter.
After that, we left, and the entire restaurant staff began to examine the worm in the glass.
In the morning we turned to the customer relations manager - Russian-speaking Maria.
We asked for a complaint book, to which we were simply provided with a piece of paper and a pen. I outlined the problem, to which she invited one of the hotel managers, who refused to accept the complaint. Moreover, when asked to explain the origin of the worm in the glass, he threw out the sheet of complaint and said that we could complain anywhere.
In response to this, I asked to call the police. The receptionist said he called. However, the police did not come, apparently they deceived us into making a call.
I explained to them that we were very worried about this, given that my wife was in her second month of pregnancy.
After that, I was taken to the common kitchen area and shown a filter on the water dispenser. They refused to open the filter and show it inside. Moreover, a carafe of water will not fit into this water dispenser.
Ultimately, we were assured that they would allegedly call the local sanitary and epidemiological service to test the water and send me a report on the test results by email.
In general, upon arriving home, we all took tests, the results of which we are awaiting.
We take anthelmintic drugs.
We have vacationed in the UAE many times, but this is the first time we have encountered such a hotel with such unsanitary conditions and rude attitude of the staff.
We do not recommend this hotel to anyone!
