Санаторий Бетховен является составной частью исторического центра города. Возник вследствие архитектурного соединения первоначальных курортных домов. В прошлом здесь побывали и лечились Людвиг Ван Бетховен, И.-В. Гёте, Р.Вагнер, Ф.Шопен, Ф.Лист. Санаторий специализирован, прежде всего, для лечения опорно-двигательного аппарата, после травматических состояний, нарушений сосудов, нервов, костей и сухожилий. Главным источником лечебных процедур являются редкие природные термальные воды с температурой 39°, которые уже 2000 лет возвращают больным здоровье.
