Correct - A detailed and structured review of more than 1,200 characters, providing justifications for the ratings assigned to Accommodation, Food & Beverage, and Service.
Complaint - A review describing a negative incident or event at the hotel that does not include detailed descriptions of key aspects (Accommodation, Food & Beverage, Service)
Gratitude - a review containing positive impressions of a hotel or gratitude towards specific staff members, but not including a detailed and structured description of the hotel.
Mini review - neutral review of less than 1,200 characters that does not include a detailed description or justification for the hotel rating.
Promotional tour - a special subcategory containing reviews written by travel agents based on the results of a FAM trip.
Hotel ratings are influenced by constructive and structured reviews that have been moderated as 'Verified Review' (Correct review) and do not carry the labels 'Stay not documented' or 'Suspicious review'.
Project moderators assign reviews of over 1,200 characters to this category if they include a detailed hotel description and justification for the ratings given in the Accommodation, Food & Beverage, and Service categories.
The TopHotels team highly values unbiased user feedback and does not tolerate any intentional falsification of hotel ratings.
Reviews that show signs of being fake or manipulated to lower the rating are moved to the "Suspicious review" category. Such reviews do not affect the hotel's overall rating.
Reviews posted from the hotel's country undergo standard moderation procedures. To prevent intentional rating manipulation or artificial inflation/deflation of scores, reviewers must confirm their review in their personal account upon returning from their trip, or via a link sent by moderators.
If the author cannot verify that they wrote the review and stayed at the hotel, this review will not affect the hotel's rating.
