Со времен реформ Кайзера Йозефа 1797 пансион расположен на изгибе нынешнего переулка Theobaldgasse. В начале X1X века дом Theobaldgasse 15 был известен как одна из старейших школ для благородных детей "Windmühle". K знаменитым жителям Theobaldgasse относятся Йозеф Гайдн (1732-1809), Вольфганг Амадей Моцарт (1756-1791), Людвиг ван Бетховен (1770-1827 ), Эрих Вольфганг Корнгольд(1897-1957),который прославился своей оперой "Mертвый город" ("Die tote Stadt").
